Your intake and consent forms will be attached to your confirmation email. If you're able to print and complete them beforehand, that gives us more time together. If you forget or don't have access to a printer, I'll have copies for you when you arrive — no need to worry about it.
Loose-fitting clothing works best — layers that allow easy access to your arms, legs up to the knees, and your back and torso.
Plan to eat a meal or snack within about three hours before your appointment. Treatment tends to feel better when you're not running on empty.
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I'm happy to provide a superbill upon request for reimbursement through your plan. If you have questions about fees before booking, please reach out.
Your first appointment is scheduled for ninety minutes — time for a full intake conversation and a complete treatment.
Come to the reception area on the third floor and make yourself comfortable. I'll come to you at your appointment time and walk you back to my office.
We'll sit together in comfortable chairs and talk. I'll ask about what's been going on — not just your primary concern, but the fuller picture of what you're carrying. This usually takes about thirty minutes, though I don't rush it. Some people need more time to settle in, and that's fine.
If you weren't able to complete your intake and consent forms beforehand, we'll take care of that when you arrive.
We'll move from the chairs to a heated treatment table in the same room. In most cases, you'll stay in your clothes — that's why I recommend loose-fitting layers that allow access to your arms, legs, and back. Once the needles are placed, I'll stay in the room with you while you rest. Most people find this deeply settling. The needles typically remain in place for twenty to forty minutes.
When we're finished, I'll remove the needles and step out — giving you quiet time to reorient before you open the door. This isn't incidental. It's part of the treatment.
We'll wrap up together in the room — payment and scheduling handled before you head out. You're also welcome to reach out when you're home and have your calendar in front of you.
